Eden Camp To support our learning about WWII we visited Eden Camp, an old prisoner of war site in Malton, Yorkshire. Everyone had a great day, enjoying the sights, smells and sounds of the different huts based around The Blitz, The Home Front, U Boats and the puppet show amongs others.
Design & Technology We investigated different types of bomb shelters after our discussion about air raids. Together we agreed a design criteria that the bomb shelters would be judged on; safe and sturdy, waterproof, comfortable and well organised, durable, versitile (camouflage or able to grow vegetables on) and cheap to make. The children were given 1 day to make and evaluate their designs. Well done to the winning group!
