WHOLE SCHOOL

Autumn term 2025

As we approach the festive season, we wanted to share with you what has been a busy and engaging start to the academic year here at North Clifton Primary. We have enjoyed a variety of activities that have allowed our students to participate in new experiences and increase their awareness of the wider community.

Our celebration of Diwali was particularly memorable, featuring a vibrant Bollywood dance performance that filled the hall with colour and vibrancy – the children really enjoyed the opportunity to have some fun and to learn more about Hindu culture and belief at the same time. In addition to this, the children have had the chance to try new sports with an exciting golf experience day in school, and then sporting outings with other local school children at Tuxford Academy for bench ball, basketball, gymnastics and dance/cheerleading.

There is a strong sense of community in school and we are keen to actively engage in community focused initiatives. We hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning in October, which followed our Harvest Festival celebrations in the Church where the children brought in items for the local food bank.
We also ran events to contribute to Children in Need and marked Remembrance Day. Our ‘community lunches’ have been very warmly received. We invite parents/carers family and friends into school have lunch with the children on special occasions, the first one this academic year was for Grandparent’s Day, which in one case brought four generations of the same family together for lunch!
