Explorer Experience Day

Today, we kicked off our new Everest writing unit with an exciting Explorer Experience Day! During our Forest School session, the children explored the contents of an explorer’s backpack, developed their navigation skills by guiding a partner around the woodland using clear directions, and worked collaboratively to build a small emergency shelter.

Back in the classroom, we examined world maps to locate the Himalayas and Mount Everest. A fantastic start to our new unit!
