Remembering and Celebrating VE Day

We enjoyed a wonderful day of VE Day celebrations, beginning with a respectful two-minute silence at midday. Then came the conga—leading us cheerfully into lunch! While enjoying delicious cakes and biscuits (including one beautifully decorated with a special ‘V’!), we watched Winston Churchill’s famous speech and footage of the Bank Holiday Monday celebrations in 1945. A big thank you to Mrs Watt and her helpers for the fantastic decorations that brought the day to life!
